Plowshares - A Peace Studies Collaborative of Earlham, Goshen and Manchester Colleges

Students light candles at a campus peace vigil.

If you want to make peace, you don't talk to your friends. You talk to your enemies.

Since 2002, Earlham, Goshen and Manchester Colleges have been engaged in the collaborative enhancement of the three colleges' undergraduate peace studies programs as part of the Plowshares Project. The colleges were founded by three historic peace churches – Earlham by Quakers, Goshen by Mennonites and Manchester by Brethren - and each has a long standing peace studies program.

Librarians and faculty at the three colleges have created these undergraduate peace studies resources for college faculty and students, as well as for the broader peace studies community. Their collaborative effort will be sustained through this Web site and the services and collections that it reflects. We welcome feedback at Earlham, Goshen, and Manchester.
