Plowshares - A Peace Studies Collaborative of Earlham, Goshen and Manchester Colleges

Students light candles at a campus peace vigil.

If we make our goal to live a life of compassion and unconditional love, then the world will indeed become a garden where all kinds of flowers can bloom and grow.

Library Catalogs

The following search screen leads to a single catalog of the complete collections of the libraries of the Plowshares Collaborative -- Earlham, Goshen (and its associate the Mennonite Historical Library) and Manchester colleges. This combined catalog is intended to provide integrated access to the combined collections of these three institutions. Because peace studies is such an interdisciplinary field, no effort has been made to subdivide the catalog to create a "Peace Studies Library." Furthermore, the uniqueness of the three campus' peace studies programs, and the resultant library collections that support them, makes this combined catalog valuable in exploring the scope of what might be included in a comprehensive peace studies collection. If there is interest in the degree of overlap among the three libraries, we recommend you review the overlap lists created in 2004.
